One Pan Pasta

  • Yield: 4 1x


  • 1/2 pkg linguine
  • 6 oz cherry or grape tomatoes (halved or quartered if large)
  • 1/2 medium onion (thinly sliced) (about 1 cup)
  • 2-3 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 2 sprigs fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • to taste coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tbs Parmesan cheese (GARNISH)
  • 1-2 ea basil leaves (torn GARNISH)


  1. Combine pasta, tomatoes onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, basil, oil, salt & pepper and water in a large straight-sided skillet.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Boil mixture, stirring and turning pasta frequently with tongs until pasta is al dente and water has nearly evaporated, about 9 minutes
  4. Season to taste with salt & pepper, divide among 2 bowls and garnish with basil and Parmesan cheese.
