Cracker Candy

  • Yield: 20 pieces 1x


  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 1/2 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans (toasted)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cover a cookie sheet with foil.
  3. Spray the foil with non-stick spray.
  4. Lay out 1 sleeve of saltines flat on the tray.
  5. In a sauce pan, melt the butter.
  6. Then add the brown sugar and boil 3-4 minutes (until just begins to thicken).
  7. Remove from the heat and pour over the crackers.
  8. Using a spatula, spread butter/sugar to lightly coat the crackers.
  9. Place the crackers in the oven and bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven.
  11. Spread chocolate chips evenly over the top of crackers.
  12. Cover the pan with foil and allow to sit for 3 minutes.
  13. Remove foil and use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate chips evenly over the surface of the crackers.
  14. Sprinkle pecans over the top.
  15. Cover and place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  16. Remove, break apart and enjoy
