New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp

Description

Serve over grits, rice, pasta or with crusty French bread to absorb the sauce


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dreid thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemay
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beer, room temperature
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire suce
  • 1 ound medium shrimp--peeled and deveined
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, stir together the garlic powder, onion powder, basil, thyme, rosemary, cayenne papper, and paprika.
  • Set aside
  • In a small cup, mix together the Worcestershire sauce and beer and set aside.
  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the shrimp and cook a couple of minutes (2-3).
  • Add the spice mixture and stir to coat.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the beer mixture and simmer until the shrimp is cooked through, about 1 minute.
  • Taste and season with salt before serving.
