Gobi--Cauliflower
Matar--peas


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 head cauliflower (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 tbs ghee
  • 1 palmful cumin seed
  • 3-4 large curry leaves
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a sauté pan on medium high heat.Add curry leaves, cover and allow to continue cooking until sizzling stops.
  2. Add cauliflower and sauté until edges begin to brown and cauliflower begins to soften.
  3. Add salt and peas.
  4. Mix and continue to cook until most of the moisture from the peas has been cooked off.
  5. Make a well in the center, add a tiny amount of ghee and when melted, add the cumin seed.
  6. Allow cumin to begin to brown, then stir into the cauliflower and peas.
  7. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring to completely combine.
