Ancho Enchilada Sauce


  • Yield: 2 cups 1x

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs olive or avocado oil
  • 1 medium dried ancho chili (chopped)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbs flour
  • 2 cup bean broth (or veggie broth)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a medium saucepot. Add chili, cumin, garlic, and allspice and sauté until fragrant. Add flour to form a roux. When brown, add bean broth/veggie broth and simmer until thickened.
