Snicker Doodle Cookies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and eggs.
  3. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix ingredients well, then roll dough in 1 inch balls.
  5. In a small bowl, mix 2 Tbs. sugar and the cinnamon.
  6. Coat dough balls in sugar/cinnamon mixture.
  7. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes.
  9. Remove from pan immediately for 5 minutes.
