Basic Polenta


  • Yield: 8 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups broth
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 3 tbs butter

Instructions

  1. Bring water and broth to a boil in a heavy large saucepan.
  2. Add salt.
  3. Gradually whisk in the cornmeal.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the mixture thickens and the cornmeal is tender, stirring often, about 15 minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat.
  6. Add the butter, and stir until melted.
