Vanilla Pie Filling--Candlewick

Description

This is basically a vanilla pudding

Nutritional information is for filling only and does not include the crust


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 3/4 cup powdered milk
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 3 medium egg yolks (beaten)
  • 1 tbs vanilla
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbs butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a pot.
  2. Add the hot water and egg yolks.
  3. Stir the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla, salt, and butter.
  5. Stir to combine well.
