Ujala's Jalfrezi Paneer

Ingredients

  • 1 block paneer, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into large strips
  • 1 red pepper, cut into large strips
  • 1 medium carrot, cut into slices
  • 1 large red onion, cut in halt and then into slices
  • 1 tomato, cut into slices
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 green chilies, cut into rounds
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbs paneer masala
  • 1 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 stem curry leaves

Instructions

  • Heat a nonstick pan with 3 tbs of oil and brown the paneer chunks on all sides
  • Place on a paper towel to drain
  • Add another tbs of oil and sauté peppers, carrot, and onion for about 10 minutes.
  • Add salt, cumin, peas, and chiles.
  • Cook another 9-10 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes, masalas, paneer, curry leaves, and additional salt as needed
  • Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the sugar and lemon juice and cook for 1 minute.
