Slow Cooker Sirloin Steak Tips

This recipe is great for a keto diet


  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 pounds beef round stea, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 ounces baby portobello mushrooms, sliced or cut into chunks
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cups beef broth (or substitue 1 tsp Beef Better than Bouillion and veggie broth)
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp garlic poweder
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • xanthum gum (optional)


  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  • Brown the meat in the hot oil, about 3-5 minuts per side.
  • Set aside.
  • Place the mushrooms and onions into slow cooker.
  • Top with the browned beef, broth, Worcesterhsip sauce, garlic poweder, thyme, oregano, basil, and parsley.
  • Cove the crock pot and cook on low 6-8 hours or until the meat is fork tender (or easily shredded).
  • The sauce will be thin. If you desire thicker sauce, add in a small about of xanthan gum tempered with a little liquid from the crock pot.
