Cheesy Baked Asparagus with Cheese, Garlic, and Bacon

This is an easy side-dish.

Use a cheese of your choice, such as Gryuere, parmesan, Asiagno, Pecorino Romano, or shredded Mozzarella

Low carb and keto friendly


  • 1 lb asparagus, cleaned and woody ends removed
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cheese or choice, shredded or grated, divided
  • 5 slices bacon, cooked and chopped


  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF
  • Place aspargu in a medium-size casserole dish, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Top with minced garlic
  • Bake, uncovered for 7-10 minutes, until crisp tender
  • remove from the oven and drain the liquid from the pan.
  • Sprinkl half of the cheese over the asparagus.
  • Add choped bacon.
  • Top with the remaining chees
  • Bake for 10 minutes, uncovered.
  • Serve immediately while the cheese is nice and melty.
